Lydia Bradey

The Auckland Section AGM at the earlier start time of 7pm followed by special guest speaker - Lydia Bradey.
In 1988, Lydia became the first woman to climb Mount Everest without supplementary oxygen. She made the ascent alone and to date she is the only New Zealander to have made an oxygen-free ascent. Her climb was and still is considered a truly remarkable achievement. She will be with us to share her stories of mountaineering, living life on the edge, and the entertaining people and antics she has encountered along the way.
A talk not to be missed by mountaineering royalty!
