The lodge provides basic yet comfortable accommodation with full kitchen, conventional and microwave ovens, oven dishes, a fridge, pantry, toaster, jug, pots, pans, plates, mugs, wine glasses, and cutlery. A zip hot water system ensures hot water for tea and coffee always on tap. There’s plenty of bench space, sinks and cupboards.

The upstairs lounge and dining area has plenty of room and stunning views of the mountain, with a door on to the balcony/sun deck.

A generator is used for electricity and hot water, and cooking is by gas. Fireplaces provide heating both downstairs and upstairs. It’s usually possible to use the lodge at a basic level in summer without the generator.

The four bunk rooms come in a variety of sizes, with roomy single and double bunks available, and drawers to stow gear. The lodge has a drying room, two full bathrooms including two hot showers, and four flash flush toilets.
