Welcome to Gear Hire!

Gear hire is available only to NZ Alpine Club members.

You will be asked for your membership number at checkout, and we may check your card upon pickup of the gear. Your card is located in your account once you have logged into the NZAC national website.

Booking: Bookings need to be submitted before 7PM Tuesday.

Pricing: See below. But currently, each item is $12 for the whole weekend. Avi set consisting of probe, shovel and transceiver will be $36/weekend.

Pick-up: The Wednesday night prior or by arrangement.

Return: Wednesday night, or by arrangement. Otherwise $10/day extra charges apply for each item.

Notes

  • For large groups, please all use a common tag in the event field and make one collection and drop off

  • A bond of $50 per order is payable and will be refunded when item is returned in good and clean condition

  • The phone number for our gear hire coordinator will be provided on the order confirmation or they can be contacted on gear@aucklandclimber.org.nz

  • Batteries are NOT provided with avalanche transceivers. Make sure to check that the transceiver is working!
